Sheltered from the traffic on Upper Street, a variety of premier residential accommodation will incorporate communal gardens, optional secure underground car parking. There will be coffee shops, café bars, restaurants and stylish shops. Furthermore, there will also be a 47,000 Sq ft. Health Club. Linked to Upper Street by two covered retail arcades, Islington Square will be the centre of a community. It will soon be hard to imagine Islington without it.
Solution: 
The project consists of the redevelopment of a former Royal Mail Sorting Office, Public House and ancillary buildings. The project is a residentially led development comprising a total of 368 residential units with retail elements spread over 7no. blocks along with a car park to block A.
Specs: 

The scaffold constructed from Tube, Fittings and Beamwork and totals over 22,045m2. The scaffold will be designed to allow construction of concrete framed buildings, Met-sec infills between floors, brick & blockwork, external cladding balcony, roof. Lift and roof installation along with Rendering on Block C.

The design solution was engineered to ensure it captured and incorporated the multiple access requirements required and includes the sweeping curves to the new build elements on Block C.
