Health, Safety & Environmental

The safe, effective and efficient installation of each and every Alandale scaffolding solution is our priority. As part of our pre-commencement works, the programme and production constraints are agreed, with all critical milestones met, ensuring the construction works can proceed as planned.

Alandale Plant & Scaffolding work closely in conjunction with our Group sectors, to ensure site planning and preparation incorporates:

• Access and logistical planning
• Quality assurance
• Security of our works
• Programme and production compliance
• Training and upskilling.

Our experienced Health, Safety and Environment safety officers carry out site audits, managed by our Director of Health and Safety and are committed to continuously refreshing and improving safety training across all areas of the business.

All our scaffold erectors are fully trained and experienced tradesmen and are members of the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Card Scheme (CISRS). They take an immense pride in their work and provide an extremely high standard of workmanship. Our erectors follow the industry's recognised safe work practices, including SG4:15 and TG20:13, the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and associated client safe systems and HSE guidelines.

Each of our operatives receives a weekly Tool Box talk from the well-known GE700 series. This comprises over 70 Tool box talks covering a wide range of industry topics including everything from asbestos to working at height. In addition to these Tool Box Talks, regular safety alerts are sent out to all sites with updated guidance and legislation. All our operatives are CISRS trained and hold the appropriate skill card for their respective level. They are trained on the renowned SG4:15 and TG20:13 with regular refresher training given to all. Alandale Plant and Scaffolding is committed to continuously refreshing safety training across all areas of the business.

The safety of third parties and the general public are paramount. We never take this responsibility lightly, producing method statements and risk assessments specific to each project we undertake, to integrate public safeguarding into our works before operations start.
